If we are going to fix our educational learning systems, structures and cultures we have to be honest and recognize we cannot go at it alone.

 

Social innovation occurs with purposeful and mindful cross-institutional and organizational collaborating.  Knowing that a backbone of wrap-around community services is important is one thing. Knowing how to build it is another. 

 

Social innovation and revolutionizing systems, structuresand cultures is already happening as evidenced in CoLab's theory of ResponsiveDesign being at the intellectual core of the ED Collabitat, which is housed in the College of Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. 

 

My theoretical and pedagogical expertise guide the social innovation and creatino of a backbone for collective impact for the St. Louis Region at the ED Collabitat.
